During my break I went to visit a Huge Wetland centre which was absolutely beautiful. The Wetlands held a range of different breeds of Ducks, I was so intrigued seeing all the different shapes and colours of these animals and how they all went on in their everyday to day life.

The main reason I visited this location was to view the Lego Sculpture Trail which consisted of bird sculptures that were entirely made of Lego.

All of these master pieces were placed infront of where the Birds had been living, For example the Mallard Duck sculpture was placed right infront of the Mallard’s home. Not only were these sculptures amazing to look at but the facts on them were also so fascinating to read. Each sculpture was placed behind a statement which was built up of facts on the art and the bird. The facts would go from telling you what kind of bird it is right up to telling you how many lego bricks and hours it took to create the bird which is fantastic!

Something that I noticed while looking around in the cafe was their were so many plastic substitutes being used while selling their food and drinks, for instance paper bags. This act really did impress me because we should always be looking at our everyday lives and making as many changes as we can when it comes to using plastics, no matter how small the changes are they all still make a huge difference.

I enjoyed spending my day following this trail and looking at all the activities around it on my way, this outing would be a perfect day out for all different kind of ages.
