Ugly Beauty was a very different documentary to watch, I was intriged to see all the different types of work that artists had produced and labeled art. I became quite shocked and couldn’t believe some of the work that I had seen.

Sadly no matter how shocking a piece may be there is still segments of art in it by the art of the way it has been made, the art of the movement.

In this Documentary I heard that people think that todays art has lost it’s beauty which I disagree with. I do not believe that art has lost its beauty I just believe that over the years styles has changed and even maybe the outlook on beauty. Everyone’s views on beauty is different.

I enjoyed and was inspired when looking at Yoko’s work and do believe there was a slight connection to Tiepolo’s work as you can see they were both made gently and beautifully and not to forget their pieces were all full of hope.

Another thing is that I do believe that Kitsch is art and there is amazing Kitsch pieces just like there is on other areas of art. I don’t believe that just because something becomes more sentimental that it means it is not art.

Overall this was a very interesting documentary and I was glad that I had watched this so I could hear other peoples view on art.
